Point Blank
Note: You may see a black screen as the game loads initially
Controls
- C to open character stats/view items
- Left click to select target during targeting phase
- Right click a selected target to deselect
How to Play
I didn't have time to implement a tutorial unfortunately, but here are the basics:
A turn based rogue lite where you kill enemies before they kill you. The more an enemy trusts you, the less likely they are to attack you. Gain trust by trying to negotiate an alliance, or defending the enemy from other enemies. Lose trust by shooting an enemy, insulting them, betraying them, or with bad luck negotiating.
When you have completed your actions for the phase, click "Next Phase" on the bottom right
Once a round is over, level up and buy upgrades. You win after completing 12 rounds.
Defense Mechanic
If your offer to defend an enemy is accepted:
- You are immediately rewarded half their bounty, and they will not target you
- If your defended target is shot by another enemy, you take half their damage, but you retaliate by shooting the attacker for half your damage
- If you betray your defended target by shooting them, the defended target has a 50% chance to change their target to you and become enraged for the round, increasing their damage by 20%
- Your defended targets are indicated by a gray square
- Enraged enemies are indicated by a red square
Known Issues
- Pressing "Next Phase" too quickly in succession may break the game :(
- The CRT shader in use may sometimes make rendered text unreadable, specifically the negotiation menu
